![]() ![]() In ~ 2005, I paid $25 per CD to Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust for 4 CD's for EVERYTHING from Shop Manuals, circuit diagrams, & Parts Catalogs for both vehicles. ![]() In ~ 1995, I paid $500 for a 6-Volume set of paper manuals for 89 XJ-6 XJ40. In ~ 1985, I paid $200 for an inch-thick paper manual for my Jaguar XJ-S V-12, and did ALL my own work (except AT rebuild). ![]() However, there are LOTS of choices between the extreme of giving away ("for free") valuable work product, "intellectual property", the Circuit Diagrams, Functional Descriptions, Repair Procedures, etc., and offering that information to vehicle owners (and shops) at a reasonable price, or via reasonable media.įailing to devise SOME type of system or medium for offering that information to vehicle owners is actually COSTING product manufacturers money.
